Etihad Stadium

When it comes to stadiums, the more shows that can be staged in the year, the more revenue can be made. However, if the show is not U2, then there may be a need to make the 70,000 seat venue feel "smaller" when only 30,000 seats are sold. The concept of trying to sell a 1000 seat dinner on the field or large "staged" corporate event is great, but the idea of seeing those thousands of empty seats on the far side of the arena will make your potential client think twice.

Australian War Memorial

Setting up a projection screen is normally quite easy. However, when you make it an unusually wide curved screen AND hang it in a room where other objects could obstruct the projection – then you add a level of complexity that makes a job like this incredibly difficult. Then, just to add a little more detail to the exercise, all of the speakers in the 7.1 surround system needed to be perfectly angled and aligned so as to get the best sound outcome for the audience WITH the least amount of audio spill into the adjacent museum areas.

ABC Headquarters Brisbane

The Australian Broadcasting Corporation (ABC) headquarters is situated on 4520sqm of land in South Bank, Brisbane and includes television and radio studios and the primary performance and rehearsal space of the Queensland Orchestra. The project was led by Leighton Contractors and HME was appointed to provide an integrated hoisting solution for lighting and the dynamic control of the acoustic properties of the room.

HME's unique solution of 4 x 12m long by 4m wide custom acoustic reflectors suspended from the ceiling can be raised, lowered and tilted to a variety of angles. This is coupled with 32 AcoustaCorp motorized stackable banners to change the acoustic properties of reverb and delay in the room to suit the performance, allowing the space to be utilised for a full 100 piece orchestra or small quartet without compromising acoustic integrity.

St Edward's College Gosford

St Edward's Christian Brothers College is situated in East Gosford and HME provided integrated theatre systems solutions to their purpose built 200 seat theatre.
