This classic, compact design allows for two or more wire ropes to be driven from the same motor in a compact hoist, ensuring consistent operation throughout the life of the hoist. The standard pile hoist solution is designed to meet the needs of venues where a long batten, lighting bar or low speed scenery bar needs to be lifted to ensure that equipment can be accessed safely from the ground.

The design of the pile hoist removes many of the problems associated with lift cables spooling badly onto the cable drum. As the cable 'piles' into ever-increasing diameters on the drum, the 'load capacity' of the hoist becomes dependent on the distance the load needs to be lifted. The shorter the height of lift, the higher the lifting capacity.

Two configuration options are available: a basic version for the budget conscious with only basic up/down operation, and a professional version which includes components for advanced functions, including networking and self-monitoring.
